TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – If you went looking for some early Black Friday shopping deals — you could have missed some. Some Black Friday deals kicked off on Thursday evening.

That’s when places like Best Buy had a line of about 50 people there waiting for the store to open. A few people were waiting to shop the deals as early as Wednesday morning. Some for the first time, for others, this is old hat. Each sale is vital for big and small businesses.

“For me it’s extremely huge with me it’s a matter of life and death,” Charles Wilson, owner of Stuff 4 U in the West Ridge Mall said. “How am I going to pay my insurance?” “I have cancer so yeah it’s a serious life and death issue. I mean if you want to get down to the nitty gritty.”

A few people that were waiting to get into best buy since 4 o’clock Wednesday morning. One person we talked with even said his friends have done this for the past 20 years.
