What We’re Tracking:
- Gusty conditions
- Diminishing rain chances
- Dry & cooler weather ahead
It’s still a windy one out there this evening with reports of gusts near 40 mph. Sustained southerly winds will range from 15 to 25 mph through the remainder of today, below gradually relaxing overnight.
Our rain chances will also continue to lessen throughout the course of the evening and overnight hours. The main batch of rain has already crossed over into Missouri and other neighboring states, but a few spotty showers can’t be entirely ruled out for tonight. Otherwise, we’ll be mainly dry with gradually clearing skies and overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s.
We’ll clear out and dry out on Monday, and those dry conditions will last through the next several days. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 50s as winds shift to the west, but that will begin to bring in cooler air as highs cool into the 40s for most of next week.
