What We’re Tracking:
- Showers through tonight
- Cold blast next week
- First widespread chance of snow
As showers start to spread in throughout the day today, a few of the northwestern counties could see a mix of rain/snow before changing to all rain by midday. Any snow that does stick will be just a dusting with nothing expected to accumulate beyond an inch, at best. The showers will gradually increase through the night tonight, before ending early Sunday. Highs will range from the lower to upper 40s in most spots. Some northern areas may struggle to break out of the upper 30s today.
Sunshine returns by midday on Sunday, and will spill over into Monday with highs near 50°. Cold north winds will usher in an Arctic chill for the middle of the week. There is a chance for a round of light snow on Tuesday as the cold air moves in, but a slightly better chance on Wednesday.
Even colder air then settles in for the second half of the week.
