Former Topeka McDonald’s employee who put mustard in officers drinks arrested

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The McDonald’s employee accused of putting mustard in two law enforcement officers drinks doesn’t want to comment on what happened.

Shawnee County jail records showed Jonathon Gill, the man who put mustard into several police officer’s drinks was booked on charges of two counts of battery against a law enforcement officer.

A photo of the soda mixed with mustard was posted on Facebook by the group Kansas Going Blue last weekend.

These charges surprised one man who used to work with Gill.

“I honestly think that he should be held accountable for the actions that he did because if even if he did it to just a  regular customer coming through the drive through he should still be held accountable,” said Jacob Burrell.

A week ago the McDonald’s owners said they were shocked by the actions of Gill. He was fired then after a lengthy investigation by the company.
