Domestic dispute leaves 1 man shot and 1 woman with broken jaw

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – A domestic dispute sent two people to the hospital, one with a gunshot wound and the other with a broken jaw.

Stacey Michael, 32, of Topeka, sustained a broken jaw in an argument with Travis Cook, 36, also of Topeka.  Michael then shot Cook in the leg.

Cook was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for aggravated domestic battery.  Michael was booked for unrelated charges.

The shooting happened around 8:45 p.m., in the 1700 block of northwest Lower Silver Lake Road.

The investigation is still ongoing.  KSNT News will continue to bring you updates as we learn more information.
