Minor injuries reported after rollover accident off US 24

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – Emergency crews were on the scene of a rollover accident Thursday morning just east of Manhattan.

Blue Township Fire Department reports they responded at 8:45 a.m. to U.S. Highway 24, east of Green Valley Road. The accident involved two vehicle with possible entrapment near the intersection.

BTFD said when their first arriving fire personnel arrived they found one vehicle had appeared to have rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels on the south side of the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 after making contact with a garbage truck.

All occupants involved were able to remove themselves from their vehicles by the time BTFD crews arrived with only minor injuries being reported.

The scene was reported cleared after 9:15 a.m.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
