One person taken to hospital after injury accident on US 75 near Hoyt

HOYT, Kan. (KSNT) – Emergency crews were on the scene of an injury crash involving a car and a semi Thursday morning.

The accident happened just after 6:00 on southbound Highway 75 near 102nd Rd.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1998 Pontiac was heading south on U.S. 75 and a semi was heading west on 102nd Street when it failed to yield when turning south onto U.S. 75 causing the Pontiac to collide with the semi.

The driver of the Pontiac was identified as John R. Boyd Jr., 56, of Circleville, who was taken to to Stormont Vail with possible injuries.

The driver of the semi was identified as Ricky L. Dreasher, 53, of Hoyt, who was not injured in the crash.
