KSNT News Sports
Zaldy Doyungan joined the KSNT News team in April 2015 as a multimedia journalist. Zaldy’s love of sports lead him to join the Sports team in August 2015.
Zaldy graduated from Kansas State University with a Degree in Journalism. He was born in the Philippines and lived there for 8 years before moving to Manhattan, Kansas. He then moved to Iowa, before graduating high school in Texas. He decided that he loved and missed K-State way too much and that’s why he made a return to the Sunflower State.
While at K-State, Zaldy was a reporter and anchor for Channel 8 News, K-State and Manhattan’s only local broadcast. He also worked with K-State HD.TV as a pregame show host for K-State Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. In addition, Zaldy was the sports director for KSDB-FM, the Wildcat 91.9, where he was the play by play commentator for College Football and Basketball games.
Prior to joining KSNT, Zaldy interned at KWCH, the CBS affiliate in Wichita, as well as KCTV5 News, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City.
When Zaldy isn’t out reporting or writing in the newsroom, he is out playing various sports such as tennis, basketball, and golf. He enjoys watching his favorite teams: Chiefs, Royals, Yankees, Lakers, and of course… The men in purple, the Kansas State Wildcats (EMAW)! He also likes dancing and has practiced hip-hop and breakdance in the past few years. Lastly if he’s not being active, he actually enjoys eating as a hobby and trying out new restaurants.
So if you have story ideas, or restaurants he should try out, feel free to email him or give him a shout out on twitter @ZaldyKSNT.
